Cruise Staff/ Entertainment Hosts
POSITION SUMMARY
The Primary role of the Cruise staff is to assist the Cruise Director with multiple activities throughout the cruise. They are the first people onboard to meet and greet with the passengers and the last ones to bid them farewell. This position will concentrate on socializing with guests and making them feel part of the Entertainment program on board.
Hosting skills are essential and the ability to speak a second language preferred. Ideal candidates will be outgoing, charismatic and enjoy social activities. Previous experience in the Entertainment Industry is preferred although full training will be provided onboard.
DUTIES
Will include but are not limited to:
- Socializing and interact with the guests onboard throughout the ship at all times.
- Visit guest lounges at allocated times and converse with as many guests as possible.
- You will be involved in meet and greet events including Captain’s cocktails and Repeater Party’s helping with the flow of the reception lines.
- As Cruise Staff you will need strong hosting skills and the ability to engage an audience whilst hosting events such as Trivia’s, Bingo, Game shows and Pool games.
- You will be heavily involved with all the Theme Nights, including interacting with the guests, teaching simple line dances and adding to the overall experience of the guests in various lounges around the ship.
- You will be required to dress in costume to fit theme nights and provide some fancy dress items yourself.
- All Entertainment Staff will need to show good microphone skills and friendly demeanor while presenting activities in a clear and proper manner
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must have professional experience working as a MC in a camp or recreational environment.
- All staff MUST comply with all company policies and procedures, along with all maritime rules and regulations.
- Participate in required Emergency duties as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
- Cruise Staff are responsible for the maintenance of all equipment.
- Assist in the facilitation of crew events, as needed.
- Follows scripts, as necessary.
- Execute additional job responsibilities.
- Dress smartly at all times and be prepared to work a 70-hour, 7-day week.
