Lounge Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The Primary role of the Lounge Technician is to assist in the running of multiple lounges including Nightclubs, Live Music venues, Piano Bars, Dining Rooms and Restaurants, Teen Clubs Lounge Outdoor Entertainment and
Specialty Venues around the ship
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lounge Technicians will be assisting the Stage Manager and Cruise Director to overlook all lounges onboard with daily shows and activities.
- These spaces have all types of Entertainment from including live bands to karaoke, Comedians and Talent shows. In which you will assist in the smooth and seamless execution of these activities.
- Each venue has various sizes of Lighting and Audio rigs which will require skilled operators to run and maintain.
- Lounge Technicians MUST be proficient with both Sound and Lighting.
- As Lounge Technician you will be required to operate equipment used in the daytime activities and each evening’s Entertainment.
- You will need to maintain strict safety standards and ensure that the rigs and all rooms are kept in ideal and workable condition.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education from technical school preferred
Must have experience with both light and sound equipment, operation, set-up and maintenance
Must have experience with band set-up and operation, including microphones, speakers, recording and playback equipment, etc…
- All staff MUST comply with all company policies and procedures, along with all maritime rules and regulations.
- Participate in required Emergency duties as specified in the ship Assembly Plan.
- Technicians are responsible for the maintenance of all equipment, including storage and inventory of all Equipment.
- Assist in the facilitation of crew events, as needed.
- Comply and engage in all safety training whilst onboard.
- Execute additional job responsibilities.
Please note:
- If you are from a country that requires a visa, it will be your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman’s visa (you will be provided with documents to obtain the visa)
- You must complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a criminal background check before being considered for an onboard position.
- Cabins are generally shared with another crew member of the same gender, based on position onboard.
- Contracts are usually 6 months long with 4-6 weeks’ vacation.
